Cumin, with the scientific name Cuminum cyminum, is a plant from the apiaceae family; it is annual and aromatic.
Cumin is a small, herbaceous plant with a height of 10 to 15 cm and a narrow white root and a straight stem branched into two parts. Cumin seeds are used as a spice because of their distinctive taste and aroma. Its main origin was Egypt and the banks of the Nile River.
